Hi Ron
Thanks for replying to my request about SS Pasteur. You explained that Pasteur was one of the few fast ships ie Queen Mary who crossed the Atlantic unescorted not in convoy. It is exactly what I listened this evening. A free french who have been in training in Canada crossed the Alantic between Halifax and UK on the boat Empress of scotland, ex Empress of japan. This pilot told me that this ship was not in convoy because he had a high speed.
