MMI Pilade bronzetti, as built carried 4-76/40, 2-76/30 AA and 4 450 mm tubes. Renamed Giuseppe Dezza on 16/1/1921 and reclassified as a TB 1/10/1929.
Rearmed: 5-102/35, 2-40/39, 4-450 mm tubes. Wartime armament reduced to 2-102/35 and 6-20/65 due to the topweight of depth charges and fittings to carry 10 mines.
Data from "I cacciatorpediniere Italiani", which states only that the armament was changed "after the war of 1915-18" and does not provide a reason for the name change, but it may have something to do with the ship siding with Gabriele d'Annunzio at Fiume (today Rijeka) and against official Italian Navy orders. It was not called a mutiny but for all intents and purposes it was.
The book is an official Italian Navy publication. The data is also confirmed by Dr Aldo Fraccaroli 2-volume set on the Italian Navy in WWI and WWII.

Brian V.
