Marc Milner’s book “Battle of the Atlantic” on pages 59/60 gives 3 diagrams.

Night escort plan: Port bow N
Starboard bow D
Port quarter R
Starboard quarter H

Day escort plan: Port bow M
Ahead A
Starboard bow C
Starboard beam F
Astern S
Port beam P

The third plan is for Operation Raspberry, an illumination procedure for a night attack. This shows the tracks for N D H and R, with an S appearing from astern.
I have somewhere a set of convoy routing instructions. If I locate it I will let you know.
