<HTML>Brian,
Back home, I digged in the Certo loss.
One fact is clear : Spindler has credited Certo to UC26. For information, that same 2.5, early in the morning under moon light, UB18 sank Juno and Tela in the Barfleur area and was back at Zeebrugge the following day. In the meantime, Certo was sunk W of entrance buoy in Le Havre Roads. I don't think UB18 who was at sea since already 5 days made a back track towards Le Havre to sink Certo. It seems to me more likely that Certo should be credited to UC26.
One more thing, UC26 did not return from that patrol and went down with her log-book, allowing only 2 men to escape what makes it dificult now to fix definitely something. However, for my own, I would credit Certo to UC26 and mention in the margin that a doubt remains.
We can also ask for Mr Bendert's advice.
