<HTML>Bill,

Unfortunately, things aren't quite so simple. David supplied pretty much all of what's in Tennant.

If this were an UB or UC boat you could quick and easily consult Harald Bendert's book and get the information you're after.

For greater details on U-series boats, you have to consult either a) the boat's logs or b) the official history. Now the official history by Spinlder (if you can find it) is well done but not user friendly, as it does have an index or number patrols. Also, Spindler's work does not necessarily detail patrols aimed at purely naval targets.

That said, my database of sinkings shows that the Midland Queen was the 10th and final ship sunk by U 28 on her second patrol against merchant targets. We (uboat.net) list U 28 has having been on 4 patrols, however, the correct number seems to be five based on my database. We'll correct that.

Best wishes,

Michael</HTML>
