<HTML>hi,

regarding the Dundee:

She was sunk by the U 55 on 31-1-1917. Wilheim Werner did not know at the time it was the Dundee but estermated the tonnage of the vessel to be 2000 tons.
In fact she was 2278 tons. She was sunk by a single topedo.

The patrol lasted from 20th Jan - 11 Feb 1917. On this patrol Werner claimed to have sunk 20 vessels, mostly small boats sunk by gun firer.

According to the war diary of the u55 this was the second patrol of any length.

regards
