I would guess that on this basis the shark story might be incorrect too ???

Oh dear, have I been unintentionally spreading misleading information ? Janice I fear that unless you can find corroborating information on the sharks, you must treat the sharks-eating-the-crew account with some scepticism. Quite probably admiralty propaganda spun into the 1920s

I wonder what contemporary newspaper reports say</HTML>
