<HTML>Joe,
I handle the WWI U-boat fate information for this website, and work with divers to locate and identify U-boat wrecks.
A location near the Sunk Lightship would pretty much have to be the UC 11, which was sunk at 51°55'N, 01°41'E. UC 6 was definitely assigned to lay mines off Kentish Knock when sunk -- the Royal Navy even recovered some substantial debris during the war.
Identification of a WWI 1-boat wreck is generally done from markings on the propeller. UC 11 was visited by teh Royal Navy during the war and much of the damage to the wreck is due to their efforts to gain entry to the hull. I can provide you with details of what they described etc. Please e-mail me if interested.
Best wishes,
Michael</HTML>
