At that date, the uboats in the Mediterranean knew the prohibition of Scheer of hostile actions against merchant vessels.The order was confirmed later in the Mediterranean by Pullen.
Do you know any information or documental resource concerning if UC74 was not informed about that prohibition, or those atacks were made by personal decision ?
