Rene,
I was interested to see your enquiry re. the"King Stephen", a Grimsby based fishing vessel GY174 latterly converted to a Q-ship as HMS "King Stephen". She and her crews had a very chequered career in both roles as I discovered recently when reading a library book entitled "Outrage at Sea" by Tony Bridgland where there is a whole chapter devoted to her story. The book is still in print the ISBN number being 0 85052 877 1 should you wish to pursue it.
I hope this is of some help.
Best Wishes,
Ray.
