Which boats operated round the Channel Islands?

Hi guys,
I'm looking for information on the boats active in the waters around the British channel Islands in WW1. I know UC18 was sunk there, and that some ships were sunk by U-boats in the area (eg. UB109 sank the 'Pontet Canet' near the Roches Douvres). There is a strong rumour going round the Guernsey dive community that a submarine has been found north of Jersey, and I'd like to know what it is likely to be. I also fish some old (pre-WW2) wrecks that I have been unable to identify, and perhaps the U-boat logs will be able to assist me?
Many thanks in advance,
Toe.
