Thanks for this most complete account of UB88.........
Sure wish there were reports loike this about the other 5 boats.
I know that the UC97 wound up at the Navy Pier in Chicago, and
later sunk off Highland Park, Chicago in 250 feet of (fesh) water.
On its cruise to the Great Lakes, the CO was Charles A. Lockwood
of WWII fame.
