u-boats patrols

How long would a uboat patrol be? It obviously depends on the uboat, class UC being mining along the coast, would be short compared to a long range U class uboat heading into the Med Sea or Bay of Biscay. What in general would it be for each class? I'm curious to compare it to the patrols of WW2.
