This is related to a post that I put up a few weeks ago; I'm looking for information about a uboat officer, the family name was Wilhelm. It's a common name I know. Wilhelm moved to Canada after the war. If could get some leads on Wilhelms, I could start working backwards from family records. Wilhelm was changed to 'Williams' at some point.

Also, if someone has effective techniques for researching this kind of information I'd be interested in a generic discussion on research methods! Thanks!!
