Hi Ilir,
the cruiser Brindisi had nothing to do with the ship sunk @ San Giovanni di Medua. The Austrian scout cruiser Helgoland was allocated to Italy by the Peace Treaty and was commissioned in the Italian Navy as Brindisi, serving until the mid-1930s.
