Thank you Dänemark, but I don't think this is the answer. Yser was a cable-layer which IS mentioned in the book, as are all other vessels I have in my list for that day:
Caria, Clan Macalister, Lumina, Glenmoor, Abbas, Nur el-Bahr (damaged), Birgit, Yser, Ticino.
There has to be a different answer, I'll have to cross-reference names, tonnages and dates, may take a while.
