Re: East Coast sinking 27 July 1918. Which ship?

Thanks for your answers. The sinking could well have taken place early in the morning. The logboks are preprinted with times, but they used the 12 hour clock rather than a 24 hour clock. I'll check next time I visit The National Archives (TNA).
Now, knowing the name of the ship, I have checked the TNA catalogue and found that they have a copy of the inquiry report relating to the sinking of Kirkham Abbey.. That should give the exact time. It'll be a month or two before I can check it though.
Isernia's log reports that Ellida, which I assume to be the Steam Yacht Ellida also headed for the wreck site, but Elllida's log makes no mention of the incident.
Incidently TNA also hold some U Boat logs, presumably taken from boats which surrendered.
