Hello guys,

while reading the War Diary of S.M. U 151 I found the following interesting stuff.

The Masters of the sunk vessels "Tijuca" and "Sobral" told commander Kophamel that the French sailing vessel "Quillota" (2,559 grt) was sunk in summer 1917 in an gun action with an English AMC on which 15 men were lost. The fight took place off Dakar. They also told that's not the sole encounter between French and English ships...

The Master of the "Tijuca" also said that the Master of the "Alexande" (2,671 grt) was shot by the French because of surrender and no use of his two 9 cm-guns against S.M. U 155 (Meusel) on Aug. 1st 1917.

Can anyone confirm these stories?

Thank's

Simon
