Yes, thanks. I had heard about the Itchen business. Tebbanjohans was rather undervalued as a commander I suspect.
I have found German references to a report he wrote regarding evasion techniques which was circulated among UC boat commanders belonging to the Hochseeflotte in July 1917. Nara doesn't have a copy but there might be one in the RN library. I will find out in September...
