Michael,
The British bi-monthly minesweeping report for Dec. 16 - Dec. 31, 1916 for Granton states:
"No enemy mines have been located during the past fortnight. The steam trawler "ATHOLE" was sunk by a mine 8 miles E.byS. from Tod Head. She was fishing in a prohibited area and the mine was a British one."
