Per U 46 KTB, schooner Ladas was not damaged. She was halted by signals, searched and freed although carrying contraband (pit props for Cardiff) only due to the fact that the danish captain had on board his wife and a child and Saalwächter did not want they should be in peril of the sea somme 100 miles away from shore.
