Hi mates,
I found a sinking claim for a steamer of 3,000 grt in the War Diary of UC 40.
The steamer was part of a convoy heading 350°. At 01:23 p.m. UC 40 fired a torpedo and sank the ship 6 miles N of Scarborough.
Does anyone have an idea about the identity of this ship?
TIA
