Michael,

no, not UB 12. I have checked the KTB. The sole victim during this patrol was "Marjorie". Two and a half hours later UB 12 tried to stop the Lowestoft smack "Ethel" but was forced to dive by a sudden gun attack from that vessel suffering minor damage. The remaining day UB 12 had to avoid further A/S activities carried out by small British vessels...

Maybe UB 16 (Müller-Schwarz) is the sub in question. The boat was sent to the same patrol area, the Hoofden...

I have ordered the KTB in Cuxhaven and will get it next week.
