Hi Everyone,
I have 2 books for sale, Cloud over Marquette by John Meredith Smith & The Sea and the Sand by William Davies.
Cloud over Marquette is about the sinking of the Hospital ship Marquette by U35, Kophamel & the sinking of HMS Tara a troop ship sunk by U35 on the same patrol, this book is about the survival, capture & rescue of the survivors. I have included 1 article on the Marquette nurses from Waimate New Zealand & 1 article on Vic Peters a music director who was onboard the Marquette & survived the sinking.
As both ships were sunk on the same patrol by U35 I am selling them as a pair, I have only seen 2 copys of the Marquette book come up for sale in the last 20 yrs, the cost of both books is NZD $300 plus post & packing. I have seen 1 copy of the Marquette book sell for $450 NZD 15 yrs ago.
I can be contacted via my email or thru this thread.
Thanks John
