Hi Simon and Joe!
It is obvious, that Messimer and other historians (for example Grant) specify, that Lütjohann were commander UB-7 on September, 27th as it is defined by the official order (and Helgason too so writes). However only the author of the given site cites biographic data of commanders of boats. Therefore there is an assumption what are right both Messimer and Helgason – officially, till September, 27th commander UB-7 was Lütjohann, and actually he has died on August, 31st?!
Thanks.
