I have searched for information on the WWI HMS Petunia for over 20 years. I have two photos of a young man named Fred who served on the Great War Vessel HMS Petunia. The larger photo was taken in Leith and he signed it to his mother. I found these photos in Atlanta Georgia USA. Does anyone have any photos or rosters from the Petunia? I am trying to find Fred and what happened to him. Also, why were his photos half a world away from his home?
Any information to find Fred (No last name known, but a British historian in the 80s, thought his uniform looked like the wireless radio operator) is greatly appreciated.
