Dutch ships sunk June - Dec 1917

I am writing my fathers memoirs and have a gap I am trying to close. My father's ship (unknown) was sunk in the northern waters I would assume south of Norway sometime between June - and the end of Dec 1917. He was injured and taken to Norway for treatment. I have idea what the ship was called and he is long since passed away. I would like to isolate to a few ships. It would have been a Dutch ship as he lived in the Netherlands and sailed out of Rotterdam and Vlissigen. I have reviewed all his seaman logs that I can find, unfortunately the earliest is 1919. I have also scoured the web with no success. Uboat.net is a great site I just do not know enough about the waters north of Holland to even guess what ships may have been sunk in that area.

Can anyone help me isolate some potential Dutch ships.

Peter
