Hi
I have just been given some momentos from my late great grandfather.He served on HMS Firedrake (destroyer)in WW1.One of the items is a key with a metal tag with the following stamped into it U. B. 97.No:9. I was told this was given to him by a German U Boat sailer they rescued.If anyone has any information about what this key was and anything about U.B,97 (if this is where it is from ?)I would be most grateful
