UB-64 & HMS Stephen Furness

I have a trio of medals for PO/18226 Pte AA Smith RMLI who was kia 13 Dec 1917. He was a member of the ships crew of HMS Stephen Furness. According to various records his ship was sunk by UB-64 by torpedo. However, I checked www.uboat.net and the Stephen Furness is not listed under UB-64. Is this an error or are the other sources wrong, these are Naval History.net and Royal Marine web site.
