11.09.1916 is correct, 6 russian seaplanes attacked Euxinograd, one bomb fell within 80 metres of U 33 which answered with machine-gun and rifle-fire.
One seaplane came down, yes, but it was just engine failure, no hits !!!
Was towed away by destroyer ZVONKIY
Apart from that no airplane was shot down in the mediterranean by an german U-boat.
The french flying-boat typ DD62, sign C .. (for Corfu), pilot Drillet, was said to be shot down by an U-Boat with machine-gun-fire in the Straits of Otranto, on a line Fano - Sta. Maria di Leuca on 08.10.1916, but there was nothing!
UB 48 found another french flying-boat typ DD1136, sign L.36, drifting in the Malta area on 25.06.1918 and tried to capture it, but it sank. The crew (Riche/Savary) was not to be seen and is missing.
That's all!
