Michael,

Per KTB, Gryfevale was sunk (OK, a CTL) at 21°08'N, 17°04'W. Yes, that is off Mauretania. Moyori Maru was sunk at 22°41'N, 16°53'W per KTB.

And it wasn't unusual for a U-cruiser to cover 130 or 140 nautical miles in a day.
