The SS Wandby, a British cargo ship armed with a 4 inch gun on her stern, is credited with sinking a U-boat in the Bay of Biscay in April 1917. The master, Captain David Simpson, was awarded an MBE plus medals from Lloyds and the Shipping Federation. I can find no record anywhere of the U-boat's number etc. Can anyone help with more info.
