My father-in-law was a passanger on the RMS Arabic, sunk by U-24 on 19 Aug 1915 off of Ireland.
He survived and came to the US and lived and died here.
I would like to find a copy of the U-24's log book or war diary for the period leading up to and after the sinking.
I believe it must exist because the U-24 survived the war was was broken up at Swansea in 1922.
I would appreciate any lead, however I don't speak/read/write German, although I have friends who do who could help me translate.
Many thanks
John
