Sailing ships lost in WW1

Hello

Reading through the various histories and records connected with u-boats in WW1 I have been struck with just how many sailing ships were sunk. As just one instance, I read yesterday Werner Furbringer and his description of how UC-70 sank twelve large two-masted French fishing schooners in a morning and then got a shock when he took on the next two.

Overall, it must have hastened the end of the sailing era.

In all the mass of figures on sinkings that have been produced has anyone come across a simple estimate of the proportion of merchant and fishing sailing ships sunk by u-boats compared to steamers (by number or tonnage) or can point me in possible directions to get an answer?
