I wonder whether the following wrecks have been the subject of scientific hi-res sonar scans, sidescan sonar etc. And if so who did the scans. Better yet, is anyone planning to scan them in the future? Asking as we prepare a new series of Drain the Oceans! for National Geographic channel. So far we are interested in
1914
HMSs Aboukir Cressy Hogue sunk by U9
HMS Pathfinder sunk by U21`
SMS Hela sunk by British sub E9
Glitra: crew evacuated and scuttled by U17
1918
Carolina: crew evacuated and sunk by U151 off New Jersey
HMAV (Q-ship) Stock Force sunk by UB80
I expect many of these have been dived but the format of the programme requires the use of more-or-less hi-res scans. Cany you help? Hope So!
