Apocalypse Now

<HTML>I have been thinking heavily on the situation currently facing my country and the world. The actions that will be taken to counter the events that occurred on September 11, 2001 will be negligible. Conventional bombing as we know it will be ineffective. We are not fighting an infastructure, we are fighting a people and an idea. This is not simply a matter of crushing a people\'s will to fight or economy, but the people themselves. The only plausible action is to destroy all those involved. Prisoners cannot be taken, they cannot be \"reeducated.\" Nuclear, Biological and Chemical warfare are all possibilities that cannot be ruled out. In order to crush terrorism, we must eradicate terrorists themselves. I can see why some factions are calling this a \"holy war.\" Both sides claim to have God supporting them. President Abraham Lincoln mentioned that the Confederacy claimed to have God on their side, and the Union claimed God was on their side; God cannot be for and against the same thing. The military actions which will happen in a week or two could possibly spell the end to an entire people and to the relative peace that the world has had in the past few hundred years. This is truly is Apocalypse Now.
