<HTML>The site suggested by Vin would be excellent.
B.B.C.- Time Watach did a 1 hour documentery on the loss of scharnhorst, serach for and condition of the wreck...it was an excellent and informative programme.
The wreck is upside down on the seabed and the ships bows from the front (Anton) turret has simply ceased to exist...theory being that a massive explosion destroyed this area and led to her rapid sinking.
The accounts of both german and Allied seamen ...some of whom are still troubled by the order to leave the area and it would seem leave the german surivors to their fates.
The footage of the wreck is moving to say the least.</HTML>
