the picture you've put in here has sparked off a thought - please forgive if it's a stupid question:

As far as I have understood things, depth charges were set to explode at a certain depth.
What would happen if a charge set for a depth of, say, 60 metres (to name just any figure) hit the U-boat directly, e.g. in a situation like the one in the picture?
