Okay on all the mails!
In blue we will, as Tom says, look like the cleaners - or Noddy's Fan Club On Tour 2001...but we'll get what we went for!
On Ted's issue of Covey Crump - Jeez Ted! You swallow the dictionary? Last time I broke into slang was about a week ago when I was asked to attend my manager's office. I mumbled something about rug dancing at menopause manor....and yes, she heard me! Please explain followed by a lot of laughing. Then again, it's far from being a PC team!
On issues: Emilie is looking forward to neaters - standing fast and Holy Ghost she doesn't savvy but we'll get there! As for shag...and Blue Liners....them was the days but, like rum, before my time! Wrens bras? Ted, see me discreetly afterwards and take an educated guess.....but don't let my YL eavesdrop!
Toast? I'll just say something simple pertaining to those with us, those we wish were with us and all those who are no longer with us. Nothing elaborate, Ted! I have forgotten most of my Jack Speak - apart from looking forward to a scran of 365 at the greasy and a half fanny of tea to wash it away with!
To those that have no knowledge of Covey Crump...well....too complicated!
As for issues in most other navies, Mike. They emulated the best including a lot of our traditions although I think the US were always dry. Someone like to set me right on that one?
