<HTML>Hi Fin!

Interesting review of the museum! I\'ve been to Groton before (about 30 years ago--a former brother-in-law was on the USS George Washington Carver, and he and my sister lived on the base there--this was before my interest in subs, etc., though, unfortunately).

:(

I can add one note on modern sizes, though. When I talked to Mr. Topp, he pointed out how he\'d been aboard a US nuclear sub in Florida somewhere once. He said something to the effect of, \"13,000 tons [or perhaps he said 18,000---I forget the exact weight now]...!! Can you imagine this!? My boat was 750 tons. But this was 13,000 tons! It was tremendous!!\" I easily grasped the huge difference in today\'s subs!

Best,

Craig

Merry Christmas!</HTML>
