It varied!
I can't find exact figures for you but I am sure someone here will.
Having said that, the voyage of U-159 under Helmut Witte might give you a clue. It lasted 135 days and the situation got so bad as, having run out of ammunition and torpedoes, Witte sent his men aboard a tanker with explosives to sink her!
That patrol was the longest ever in the South Atlantic. However, I really don't know.
