No, she is not U-84

this is a copy of a message that Jerry Mason e-mailed me:

"Antonio, Over the past week I have been in touch with Dr. Axel Niestle who
wrote "German U-boat Losses During World War II". He has pointed out that
the photos I posted on my web site as U-84 are really of an attack on U-406.
It turns out this boat had the same antiaircraft modification as U-84. Post
war records initially credited aircraft from USS Core with the destruction
of U-84. This is what I used when I labeled the photos. This was
reassessed in 1995 by Dr. Niestle. I agree with his analisis. Dr. Niestle
has sent me a photo of U-84 taken when she left on her last patrol. You can
clearly see the same anti-aircraft modification as in the U-406 photos.
Sorry for the confusion. I have corrected the caption on the web site.
