Questions regarding submarine dimensions.

I'm not well educated on the subject of uboats, but I do find them interesting and enjoy reading books on the subject.

I have a few general questions, mainly to do with the dimensions of uboats.

First, I was wondering how the dimensions would effect the draft of a u-boat, for example, I'd guess that the taller a uboat was, the lower it would sit in the water, and that the more width it had, the draft would perhaps be effected less or maybe the uboat would sit higher in the water when surfaced. I'd assume the length might not have much effect.

Also, I was wondering how the height and width of a submrine would effects its stabillity in the water; and would a lengthy submarine turn slower than a shorter one.

I hope this questions arn't to frivolous, and I would greatly appreciate any answers.
