I think both VII U-Boats had FuMO29 radar front aerial; the one for U637 is
uncovered and the one for the left boat has a cover shield.
Note that the dimensions of both conning tower frontals are almost identical.

The armour plate fitted in the front of the conning tower of some U-Boats didn´t protrude so much in width as did in left boat.
In the other hand, the front of the conning tower in the boats fitted with armoured "boxes" (Kohlenkasten) were much wider than the one of the left boat.
