June 1944 u-boat attack - need info

I was a passenger on the Icelandic freighter, SS Godafoss in 1941 and '44. Both times saw us attacked by u-boats. I have found quite a bit of information on the first attack (mainly because it involved the sinking of the Reuben James), but I have not been able to find out anything on the second (1944) attack. It was in June of that year and we somehow lost our convoy in the confusion, so the captain headed for Loch Ewe, where we eventually picked up another convoy. As I recall the trip from New York to Reykjavík thus took about 25 days.

Where can I find info on that specific battle?

Appreciate any help as I am writing an autobiography.
