Mr. Franks rsearch points to the Italina boat Barbarigo commanded by Tenenti di vascello Umberto de Julio.
The boat was crossing the Bay of Biscay out bound when she was attacked by two Whitley's of 10 O.T.U. "J" piloted by P/O.Orr and "L" piloted by Sgt. Martin.
Orr attacked first casuing no damage followed by Orr.
P/O. Martin who was circling attacked again and as his aircraft climbed away smoke was seen trailing from the aircraft which crashed moments later ...all six aircrew were lost.</HTML>
