<HTML>Hi Guys,
PILSUDSKI lies in around 30m.
Reference: N53 46 248 E000 45 344
Also: N53 46 257 E000 45 561
26 miles SE from Flamborough Head
The vessel made her maiden-voyage to New York in September 1935 and went via Montreal. She carried 770-passengers, making twenty voyages between the dates she was launched and 1st September 1939, when Germany invaded Poland. When news broke about the invasion, the liner was homeward bound from America. She was then diverted to Britain, where her passengers disembarked. Three months later, on 26th November 1939, the beautiful ocean-liner was on passage from the Tyne for Australia when she detonated a mine and sank east of Withernsea, with the loss of ten lives.
