Paul Tidwell was the man who found this Japanses submarine of WWII, and the wreck was filmed by his team in 1998.
He did a dive on this wreck, in the hope that gold bars may be found, but no luck!
However, he & his team did put down an Imperial Japanses Flag on the wreck to honour all the crew that died in I-52. An old crew shoe was recovered near the wreck, and Tidwell himself flown it back to Japan in order for it be put into I-52 Naval War cemetery.
