<HTML>Hello Max,
One of them was U977( Heinz Schaeffer) who carried out a record breaking sub-surface voyage across the Atlantic and eventually surrendered in Argentina. He wrote a book simply titled U-Boat 977(1952 William Kimber).
This book wuold be a great addition to anyones library, an excellent read. Contrary to rumours at the time Adolf Hitler was not onboard.
