Ok, I understand your view and you have a right to it as I do (like you said in your posting). I guess it\'s a toss-up between those who want the forum to be about u-boats only forum without knowing about each other, and those that enjoy the personal relationships as well as the u-boat topic. I think getting to know each other is vital to our discussions. I do understand that maybe it should be kept at a more personal level, i.e. e-mail, but if you look at a CV like MPC\'s and a thread about the backgrounds of the people that come in here, it just adds to the ambiance. MPC has done excellent things for the history of u-boats and I think that should be known to everyone. Maybe his CV has sparked an interest in another new forum member. Heck, he\'s inspired me to get into u-boats of WWI and I enjoy that just as much as WWII u-boats now.

All in all, no one has to read posts they don\'t want to. Just let it be I in my opinion is the best solution. If I see a post that I\'m not interested in, I don\'t read it. Simple answer I think.

Well, I wish you a happy new year and I will look forward to more discussions regardless of our differing opinions :-)
